Specialty mattress maker Dormeo Octaspring, with world headquarters in London and U.S. headquarters in Plano, Texas, has earned both a design innovation and advertising award. Dormeo Octaspring received an Interior Innovation Award from the German Design Council and the IMM Cologne home furnishings fair held Jan. 14-20 in Cologne, Germany. Award winners are featured in the IMM Cologne Design Yearbook.
The company’s namesake technology is an eight-sided memory foam spring that allows movement in all directions while providing support and ventilation to the sleeper.
The mattress manufacturer’s infomercial, “Octaspring: Sleep is Beautiful,” earned a 2012 ERA Moxie Award from the Electronic Retailing Association. The company took the prize in the Best International Infomercial category.
