Las Vegas Market: Seahawk Designs auctions ‘Jewel’ for a good cause

At Las Vegas Market, Seahawk Designs Inc., creator of the patented Sto-A-Way mattress foundation, is hosting a silent auction of its new Jewel decorative bed frame and headboard topped with a Classic Sleep 14-inch memory foam mattress. Bidding begins Jan. 26 at $250 in the company’s World Market Center showroom B-970 and continues through Jan. 30. Proceeds benefit City of Hope, the Los Angeles-based research, treatment and education center for cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening diseases.

The bed has contemporary styling, a sateen headboard upholstered in Pantone’s color of the year, orchid, and is flanked by beveled mirror panels that support floating nightstands. A low-profile Synergy base has four touch-latch drawers.

“Attendees that stop by our showroom will be able to sign up for the auction and place their bids at a podium that will be in front of the Jewel display which will be the center of our space,” said Seahawk Designs Chief Executive Officer William Jahn. “This is one of the most intricate and ornate sleep systems we have ever had. We are confident that the Jewel will be a big success at retail and will get market attendees excited to bid on it and donate to a good cause.”
