Mattress licensing group King Koil, with world headquarters in Willowbrook, Ill., honored three Asia-Pacific mattress retailers for their outstanding sales growth and brand-development achievements in 2013. All three retailers are served by the King Koil licensee in Jakarta, Indonesia, owned by Chairman Andreas Wihardja and Managing Director Hendry Setiawan.
Owen Shoemaker, King Koil senior vice president of business development and innovation, and J.P. LeDoux, King Koil vice president of international business development, traveled to Indonesia to join Wihardja and Setiawan in presenting the awards.
The Chandra Karya Furniture store group, owned by Chandra Kristianto, received the King Koil Southeast Asia Top Dealer award. Subur Furniture, a retail chain headed by Benny Japardi and Rita Wardhani, earned the King Koil Indonesia Top Dealer award. Diana Eva Furniture, operated by Budi Hartono and his wife Tjong Joe Tjin, was honored with the King Koil Indonesia Most Improved Dealer award.
“Despite the challenges of the world economy, the tremendous development and growth that the King Koil brand has seen in countries like China, Malaysia and Indonesia in recent years has been nothing short of phenomenal,” Shoemaker said. “We applaud these retailers for their strong product offerings, luxury brand positioning and the excellent reputations they’ve earned with consumers.”
According to the company, the King Koil brand is sold in more than 80 countries.
