Denver-based technology company Integrated Listening Systems, which offers “multisensory programs and products for improving brain function and emotional regulation,” has launched Dreampad. According to a news release, the specialized pillow plays music that only the user can hear and uses “a subtle vibration to evoke a relaxation response.”

The company says its “(‘Intrasound’ technology) is successfully applied to a wide variety of conditions, including those related to emotional and behavioral regulation, sensory processing, communication and social skills including autism spectrum disorders, Down’s syndrome, Parkinson’s disease and traumatic brain injury.”

According to Dr. Ron Minson, Integrated Listening Systems clinical director, “… new data supports what we see clinically when users who suffer from stress, anxiety and trauma begin utilizing the Dreampad. (It) helps them relax and improves their sleep. Better quality sleep improves just about every aspect of a person’s life—providing benefit in school or work performance, relationships and emotional stability.”
