Blu Sleep Products, a specialty sleep manufacturer with headquarters in Laval, Quebec, has opened a U.S. distribution center, warehouse and assembly plant in Pompano Beach, Florida.
The facility allows Blu Sleep to better serve its growing U.S. customer base, a news release said. Co-owner Alex Ciccolella, a biochemist, works closely with European and American suppliers to engineer foams made specifically for the company’s line of foam pillows, toppers and mattresses.
“This new warehouse and assembly facility will help us overcome sales resistance from U.S. retailers who were concerned about shipping time and cross-border delays,” Ciccolella said. “All of our products will be offered from our Florida facility from this point on. Our customers are very excited to hear about this, and we anticipate an even greater increase in business by opening this U.S.-based facility.”
Brian Sherebrin, a 30-year mattress industry veteran and Blu Sleep’s national sales manager in the United States, has responsibility for overseeing the new Florida operation.
