Mattress major Tempur Sealy Inc., headquartered in Lexington, Kentucky, has inked a deal with the PGA Tour, based in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, that names Tempur-Pedic the official mattress, bedding and pillow sponsor of the professional golfers’ tour. The agreement is the bed brand’s first national sports sponsorship. Tempur-Pedic was a first-time tour advertiser in 2013.
“Golf is a game of precision played by discerning people who appreciate quality,” said Patrice Varni, Tempur Sealy senior vice president of brand marketing. “The Tempur-Pedic customer shares these same qualities and this overlap really drove this partnership. We are excited to align with the prestigious PGA Tour brand and look forward to mutual benefit for years to come.”
