Mattress fabric supplier Creative Ticking Inc., a division of Beverly Knits, with headquarters in Gastonia, North Carolina, has hired industry veteran Dennis St. Louis to the new position vice president of business development and national accounts.
He is responsible for expanding the company’s market penetration, product lines and capabilities, and managing the national key-accounts business team. He reports to Jim Cookson, Creative Ticking and Creative Fabric Services chief executive officer.
St. Louis has worked more than 20 years as a sales and marketing executive in the ticking and industrial-fabric segments. Most recently, he was vice president of sales and marketing for Thrace-LINQ. Prior to that, he was director of sales and marketing at Vita Nonwovens. Previously, he served as vice president of sales and marketing for Burlington House, part of the International Textile Group.
“As we continue to grow the company’s knitting operations and build brand awareness, Dennis’s expertise will provide the leadership needed to accomplish the growth goals and objectives of both Creative Ticking and our customers,” Cookson said.
Commenting on his new post, St. Louis said, “We will be concentrating our efforts on utilizing our state-of-the-art knitting equipment and domestic capacity to expand our product portfolio of performance mattress fabrics and covers, as well as expanding Creative Ticking cut-and-sew operations. This will provide innovative, cost-effective solutions for the industry.”
