Park Place names new president and VP

Mattress producer Park Place Corp. has named Jason Kelley as president and promoted Jerry Burgess to vice president of sales. The Greenville, South Carolina-based company was founded in 1931 and is the King Koil licensee for the South and mid-Atlantic.

Kelley, who joined Park Place in 2012, is responsible for providing “a strategic plan for more innovative solutions for customers and (creating) efficiency throughout the organization as it moves through a new growth phase,” a news release said.

In addition to his new role, Kelley retains his prior responsibilities as the company’s chief financial officer.

“We are laser-focused on our customers’ needs,” Kelley said. “That has been the heritage and motto of the Orders family since 1931, and we will continue to build quality, innovative mattresses and serve our customers well.”

Burgess is a longtime Park Place employee and a 20-year veteran of the mattress industry in sales and management roles. He is responsible for all of the company’s sales activity and leads a 12-person sales force covering the United States. Burgess is credited with increasing Park Place annual revenues by 21%, year-over-year.
