Norfolk, Virginia-based Paramount Sleep has hired Jeffrey Hilbruner as director of operations, reporting to President Richard Fleck. Hilbruner replaces Kevin Michaud, who has assumed management responsibility for IT, merchandising and special projects. Michaud also works with the company’s growing number of licensees in Fresno, California; Little Rock, Arkansas; Miami and Seattle.

As director of operations, Hilbruner is responsible for overseeing manufacturing operations, logistics, purchasing and general management functions.

Hilbruner brings more than 30 years of operational experience to the mattress manufacturer, specializing in lean methodologies, team building and customer service. His past positions include a 15-year career with Simmons Bedding Co. as operations or production manager for a number of the manufacturer’s plant locations. He also served as vice president of operations for Taylor Bedding and as assistant plant manager for Sleep Innovations.

“We are excited to welcome Jeff to our dynamic and growing team,” Fleck said. “He will be key to driving Paramount’s manufacturing success and helping us take our production to the next level.”
