Sleep Country Foster Kids program turns 10

Pacific Northwest mattress retailer Sleep Country USA is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its Foster Kids program. Since 2005, the Seattle-based sleep shop chain has collected a total of 838,000 essential items for 20,000 foster children in the region. Items included shoes, clothing, pajamas, school supplies, winter coats and holiday gifts.

The company also has raised $930,000 to help foster children participate in extracurricular activities, such as school field trips, joining sports teams, learning a musical instrument, getting tutored and more. For more information or to make a contribution, check www.sleepcountryfosterkids.org.
