Bedgear plans a succession of good works

Sleep accessories and protection supplier Bedgear, with headquarters in Farmingdale, New York, has launched We Fit 2 Cure, a philanthropic initiative to benefit various charities.

Its inaugural effort supported the Seena Magowitz Foundation, which promotes pancreatic cancer awareness, early detection, advocacy and provides funding for scientific and medical research. The company donated 100% of website sales May 14-30 that were made using a specific code to the charity.

“One of my early mentors in the home furnishings industry succumbed to pancreatic cancer, so this cause is one very close to my heart,” said Eugene Alletto, Bedgear founder and chief executive officer. “With We Fit 2 Cure, Bedgear is proud to support the efforts of the Seena Magowitz Foundation in the hopes of one day eradicating this devastating disease that affects so many people.”

In June, We Fit 2 Cure will support the Nassau County Habitat for Humanity. Bedgear employees have volunteered to help build a home for a deserving family in Hempstead, New York.
