Bill Evans Passes Away

Carthage, Missouri, May 20, 2015— It is with deep sadness that we at Global Systems Group announce the recent passing of one of our dear industry friends, Robert “Bill” Evans, on March 7. Bill was a Field Service Technician for Porter International and travelled to customer factories around the world installing or repairing sewing equipment, and training machine operators.
Bill had recently retired from a sewing industry career which spanned over four decades. During that time many of our mattress industry colleagues had grown to love and respect Bill for his thorough machine knowledge and his patient guidance in training customers and operators.
Global Systems Group would like to extend our deepest sympathies to Bill’s family and to all our industry friends that will grieve this loss of a good friend.
