Ventex Inc. has named Rick Conely national sales manager, a newly created position for the Ashburn, Virginia-based supplier of fire barriers for mattresses and upholstered furniture.
In his position, Conely is responsible for Ventex sales in the United States and internationally. He reports to the company’s president, Harrison Murphy.
Most recently, Conely was regional sales manager for medical equipment manufacturer Sizewise, based in Lenexa, Kansas. While there, he sold hospital beds and medical mattresses.
“We are excited to add Rick to our team and look forward to his leading our efforts to expand Ventex’s direct reach to new customers,” Murphy said. “The remarkable growth of the market segment represented by compression-packed mattresses being shipped directly to consumers as a result of internet-based sales is ideally matched to our knitted fire barrier offerings.”
