New bed topper packer at C3 Corp. addresses direct-to-consumer market

C3 Corp., a machinery and engineering services supplier headquartered in Appleton, Wisconsin, released a new equipment model for the mattress topper industry earlier this year.

For tightly packed toppers C3 Corp., based in Appleton, Wisconsin, has released a new system to roll bed toppers into small packages for storing and shipping.

The TC9513 Topper Roll Cage System roll packs foam toppers as thick as 4 inches and as dense as 4 pounds into a 15-inch-by-15-inch sleeve, the company said in a news release. The C3 Corp. designed the equipment to meet the demands of retail and e-commerce’s direct-to-consumer market. The package is a low-cost, small-footprint option for mattress topper manufacturers, it said.

“The market was lacking a packaging system for an optimized topper package,” said Joe Van De Hey, chief executive officer. “We didn’t just look at how it fits on a retail shelf or how it gets shipped through e-commerce, but what consumer demands were important. We reduced the material being used and increased the ability to store and ship toppers.”

The machine is made at the company’s headquarters in Appleton. Watch the video now:
