Demand Products Inc. taps Jess Collinson

Demand Products Inc. has hired Jess Collinson to the new post national sales director.

Demand is an industry supplier specializing in the sales and service of foam-cutting and foam-recycling equipment. It has headquarters in Alpharetta, Georgia.

Collinson assumes responsibility for management of the sales team and execution of the company’s sales strategy. He also is tasked with fostering relationships with existing customers and meeting business development goals. He reports to Demand president, Ginny Brajdic.

A veteran of the polyurethane foam industry, Collinson brings 20 years of sales engineering experience to his position. He has extensive knowledge of foam manufacturing and fabrication for a range of business sectors. Most recently, he was with Hickory Springs as a process director. His accomplishments there include evaluating production and improving efficiencies at all company facilities through automation and the implementation of best practices.

Prior to that, Collinson was general manager of Baumer of America Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of foam-cutting equipment company Albrecht Bäumer GmbH & Co. KG. He began at Baumer as a sales engineering manager. While with the company, he honed his direct-selling skills, coached the inside and outside sales teams, negotiated pricing and service contracts, and investigated new ventures. He assisted customers with equipment solutions, from standalone machinery to entire automated and semi-automated lines of cutting and material handling systems.
