Representatives from 25 countries gathered in Taipei, Taiwan, in late 2017 for Spring Air International’s eighth annual Global Summit Conference.
During the conference, Nick Bates, president of the Boston-based mattress licensing group, outlined company initiatives introduced in 2017. These included a more interactive website to engage consumers through improved search engine optimization, a new customer relationship management system and a more active social media presence to leverage conversations with consumers.
Each licensee also provided an update on each individual business before attendees left Taiwan for stops in Hawaii and Las Vegas, where the group received a comprehensive review of Spring Air’s products.
The conference, held each year in a different location, brings together Spring Air licensees to discuss strategic plans for sales growth, to share best practices and to brainstorm new initiatives.
“This is a very important annual meeting for us because it not only allows for critical thought leadership and best-practice exchange, but enables us to present our new programs and share our success,” Bates said. “For most of our international licensees, Spring Air is their leading brand. The cachet of carrying our well-regarded American brand is a key factor in the success of their businesses, so knowing our plans and product is intrinsic to their success.”
In 2018, the conference will be held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and in 2019, the group will meet in Cologne, Germany.
“Our time together is critical to the success of Spring Air,” said Eric Spitzer, chief operating officer of Spring Air International. “We have the strongest international network totally committed to the brand, and that network continues to grow at an unprecedented pace. Our plans for growth in 2018 are on schedule for building our licensing group.”
