Following an extensive search, Serta Simmons Bedding LLC has appointed Dan Horan chief sales officer, a new position for the company.
He reports to Michael Traub, chief executive officer of the Atlanta-based mattress manufacturing major, and will manage all channel sales leaders who previously reported directly to Traub. Horan steps into his new role Aug. 20.
He is a veteran consumer products sales executive with more than 20 years of experience. Most recently, Horan was vice president of U.S. home appliance sales for Samsung Electronics America. Previously, he held the role of vice president and general manager for Samsung’s Home Appliance business unit for The Home Depot. His background also includes executive sales roles with Sears Holdings, Fiskars, Spectrum Brands and Black & Decker.
“Dan brings a wealth of sales experience to SSB, and we look forward to his contributions in setting a best-in-class sales strategy that grows relationships with our retail partners,” Traub said. “I am confident in Dan’s ability to provide SSB with leadership and insights that will help us deliver profitable growth and extend our market leadership position.”
