Foam-bonding adhesive supplier SABA North America LLC has broadened its coverage of the Americas by signing of an agreement with Sao Paulo-based Overseas Ltd. to act as its exclusive group sales agent throughout South America. At the same time, the Kimball, Michigan-based industry supplier announced the promotion of Arturo Alcala to sales manager for South America.

Alcala is tasked with directing the relationship with Overseas. He has been with SABA for two years and previously was a technical service manager.

“I’m pleased that we were able to fill this management opportunity with internal talent, and I’m highly confident that Arturo will be successful in his new role,” said Jim Turner, SABA North America president.

“Teaming up with Overseas provides us with the infrastructure and localized service to bring unmatched support to customers in this region,” Turner added. “As a global, leading adhesive supplier, we see increased demand for environmentally friendly foam bonding solutions, along with the expansion of the bed-in-box space in South America. Expanding our business provides us with an opportunity to bring value to bedding manufacturers via our knowledge of foam bonding and our robust portfolio of water-based adhesive technologies.”

Overseas is a distributor of a range of components and machinery to the South American bedding industry with sales, service and warehousing in strategic locations across the continent.
