Culp Inc. recently introduced its first Culp Sleep Week to educate employees about the connection between sleep and overall health. Its human resources team reached out to all employees via video messaging, emails, texts, postcards and slides on internal TV monitors throughout the company’s U.S. facilities.
“Culp has been encouraging physical fitness and healthy lifestyle choices for many years,” said Teresa Huffman, senior vice president of human resources for the High Point, North Carolina-based textile supplier. “Statistics show that Americans are experiencing higher levels of stress than ever before. We want our associates to know how much we care about them and ensure they know about the resources and benefits that are available to them and to their families.”
Culp Sleep Week focused on stress management and ways to improve sleep. Employees learned about the importance of healthy eating, practicing yoga, meditating and dream journaling, among other relaxation techniques to improve their sleep.
