Bedgear and Millbrook Beds Bring Performance Sleep Solutions to U.K.

Sleep products supplier Bedgear has partnered with Millbrook Beds, maker of handcrafted English beds since 1946, to bring Bedgear’s Performance sleep solutions to the U.K. The two companies recently co-exhibited at the U.K.’s NBF Bed Show.

“Bedgear’s Performance sleep solutions have been around for more than 10 years and are found in over 4,000 global retail locations and enjoyed by 18 million consumers around the world,” said Eugene Alletto, founder and chief executive officer of Bedgear, headquartered in Farmingdale, New York. “Bedgear is excited to partner with Millbrook Beds to help us bring sleep solutions that focus on airflow, personalization, comfort and sustainability to the U.K. market, including retailers and consumers.”

These Performance bedding products include mattresses, mattress protectors, pillows, sheets, comforters and other bedding essentials for adults, children and infants.

“Millbrook Beds is known for its impeccably designed mattresses crafted with premium materials often native to the Hampshire region,” said Ross Thurston, operations director of Millbrook Beds. “Since Millbrook Beds and Bedgear believe in excellence and quality, our partnership will bring the next stage of Performance breathable bedding to U.K. consumers . . . U.K. bedding retailers also will gain Bedgear’s interactive in-store experiences.”

At The Bed Show, attendees participated in a personalized pillow and mattress fitting as well as “retail theater.” From Pinwheel Pillow Airflow Machines to the interactive PillowID finder, Bedgear’s retail theater displays are designed to attract shoppers back into stores. They can also educate shoppers on the importance of airflow, personalization and Performance smart fabric technologies.

With Bedgear’s core belief of “One Size Does Not Fit All,” the company trains retail sales associates to ask in-store shoppers a few sleep preference questions to personally fit each individual based on their body type, sleep position and temperature preference.
