Bekaert Textiles acquires Enbasa Laval

Bekaert Textiles Group logoTicking supplier Bekaert Textiles, with world headquarters in Waregem, Belgium, has acquired competitor Enbasa Laval. Enbasa is a mattress fabric supplier based in Sant Boi de Llussanès, Spain, with an additional sales office in France. It will continue its existing business, while acting as a production and distribution hub for Bekaert in southwestern Europe.

Bekaert said its current customers in the region will benefit significantly from increased local production and warehousing facilities, as well as shortened lead times. Existing Enbasa Laval customers will benefit from the stability Bekaert brings to Enbasa during Europe’s current depressed economic conditions and from the Belgian company’s extensive product range and design capacity, according to the company.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
