Gold Bond Expands S-Series

Hartford, Connecticut-based mattress maker Gold Bond is expanding its specialty sleep S-Series containing Carpenter Co.’s Serene comfort-layer foam, by adding a new 12-inch model that is layered with 2 inches of Carpenter’s Avena foam.

The new bed brings the S-Series to three models.

According to Gold Bond President Bob Naboicheck, retailers had requested a thicker, plusher mattress in response to consumer needs. “Our S-Series with Serene has quickly become one of our most popular lines, and our retailers were asking us for a 12-inch model to round out our offering,” he said. “Both of the original models have been extremely popular with consumers, and the additional mattress will help boost sales among consumers looking for a taller profile.”

Like the others in the collection, the new 12-inch model features a contemporary look. It’s dressed in a nonquilted stretch knit cover with a charcoal gray border. Retail prices for the three-mattress collection range from $649 to $999 for queen sizes.
