Protect-A-Bed adds sales director

Protect–A–Bed, a supplier of mattress and pillow protection products based in Northbrook, Ill., has hired Chris Taylor as director of sales for its Furniture Retail Division. He is responsible for overseeing Protect–A–Bed’s new strategy for selling products directly to home furnishings customers, rather than through distributors.

Taylor has 15 years of experience in business development and national account management in the home furnishings industry. He earned a bachelor’s degree in communications and an MBA from Wake Forest University and is based in Winston–Salem, N.C. Taylor reports to Clive Goldin, Protect–A–Bed president.

“Chris has a strong reputation for developing and implementing strategic sales and marketing plans to achieve and exceed sales goals,” said James Bell, Protect–A–Bed chief executive officer. “He also has a lot of experience managing and directing teams of sales representatives. He is an essential part of our company’s growth and expansion. We hope that with the addition of Chris, we can expand our leadership and expertise in this industry.”
