Naturepedic creates first innerspring line

Mattress maker Naturepedic, based in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, debuted its first innerspring mattresses at the winter Las Vegas Market. The luxury, three-bed line has encased coils and is certified to the Global Organic Textile Standard.

Coils count: Naturepedic is using individually wrapped, encased coils in its new three-bed line.

The company, which is a manufacturer of organic infant and youth bedding, says it conducted extensive consumer research during development of the adult mattress collection.

“Adult consumers love certified-organic, but they first want superior comfort and support,” said Jeff Cik, Naturepedic president. “What makes this mattress line unique is that it features an exceptionally comfortable and supportive encased-coil design, with the entire finished product—not just a portion of the materials—being GOTS-certified.”

The beds are available in three comfort options and have suggested retail prices from $2,199 to $3,299 in queen size. The individually wrapped coils in the innerspring cores are sewn by Naturepedic on its own equipment using a coil sewing technique and organic-fiber textiles. No synthetic fibers or glues are used. Naturepedic products are labeled Level III under the Specialty Sleep Association’s Environmental & Safety Program.
