BodiTrak Smart Bed even smarter

BodiTrak Smart BedBodiTrak Smart Bed cross sectionPatienTech, based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, has added features to the BodiTrak Smart Bed. It’s now available in an “advanced queen size” with improved control system and air chambers filled with foam, which allows for continuous, smooth support and prevents the chambers from ever completely deflating.

Each chamber is self-adjusting and inflated with a smaller, quieter pump, the company says. Owners now can operate their bed using an application downloaded to iPad, Android or other smart device.

“This advanced smart bed concept completely changes the entire way we sleep,” said Andrew Frank, BodiTrak vice president of sales. “Our beds actually detect the sleeper’s comfort level, pressure points, position of sleep, breathing patterns and even snoring. Our unique surface control system then automatically and quietly adjusts the bed all night long, matching the bed surface to the sleeper’s position. The bed helps relieve snoring by detecting harmful breathing patterns. The Smart Bed proactively stimulates the sleeper to move into positions that promote better breathing.”
