Bedding Industries of America, the North Brunswick, N.J.-based manufacturer and licensor of Eclipse International, Eastman House and the Ernest Hemingway Collection, has named Sande Haar executive vice president.

Haar has more than 30 years of experience in the bedding industry. Most recently, he served as national manager of new business development for the hospitality division of the former International Bedding Corp. Prior to that, Haar spent more than two decades with Sealy and its Stearns & Foster brand. As vice president of national accounts at Sealy, he handled the mattress major’s business with Federated Department stores. He also served as regional sales manager for the company’s hospitality division.

“Sande is responsible for serving as a key liaison to our growing family of retail customers, which includes calling on major independents, as well as national accounts,” said Stuart Carlitz, Bedding Industries of America president and chief executive officer.

“Sande oversees and supports our sales team’s efforts and develops point-of-purchase materials and sales training programs for retailers. He also works with me and our suppliers, developing world-class innovative bedding products, which offer incredible value for our retailers and licensees. With Sande’s additional experience in the hospitality bedding sector, he will spearhead development of our new contract bedding program for 2013.”

Haar reports to Carlitz.
