Olaf Kiepke
European mattress major Hilding Anders, which has headquarters in Malmö, Sweden, has named Olaf Kiepke to the newly created post sales and marketing director for Germany.
Kiepke is responsible for the development of Hilding Anders brands in a growing market. A mattress industry sales veteran, he most recently was head of sales for Dormilux in Germany.
His appointment, along with the October opening of a branch office in Oberhausen, Germany, signal an important new focus for the company on the German marketplace, a Hilding Anders news release said. The Oberhausen office will house sales, customer service and order processing functions.
“In Olaf Kiepke we have a successful industry expert on our team,” said Martin Frutig, region president, southwest Europe. “His experience and connections will play a central role in the construction and expansion of sales structures. With his many years of experience working for well-known manufacturers in the furniture industry and our intensive market research, our involvement in Germany has a solid foundation, and we are able to develop a sustainable presence for Hilding Anders. There is stiff competition in the market, but I am convinced that we can become well established in the medium term with the current concepts in both the mattress and bed segments.”
