Specialty mattress producer Pure LatexBLISS has hired Steve Baumberger as sales leader for the company’s Southwest division and Joseph Peterson as sales leader for the Northwest. Both are filling new positions for the Atlanta-based company.
Previously, Baumberger was senior territory sales manager at the now-defunct International Bedding Corp. Prior to that, he was president of Baumberger’s Furniture. He first joined the family business in 1992 as a sales representative and assistant manager. Prior to that post, he held a sales management position at retailer Bassett Furniture.
“Steve brings over 20 years of sales experience with a superior understanding of mattress retail, sales management, merchandising and sales training,” said Kurt Ling, Pure LatexBLISS co-founder president. “His extensive industry insight makes him the ideal person to build our business in the Southwest. We continue to hire seasoned executives with specific sales backgrounds and a deep understanding of the sleep products industry to support our strategic growth plan.”
Peterson is a 15-year mattress industry veteran who served most recently as key account manager for International Bedding Corp. Peterson began his bedding sales and customer service career in 1998 at Serta.
“As we continue to expand nationally, we need strong leadership at a regional level to support our growth,” Ling said. “In addition to his in-depth understanding of our industry, Joseph is a proven leader with a broad base of customer relationships and a long history of sales success, driving high-performance results. His key account sales experience is going to be a tremendous asset for us.”
Both Baumberger and Peterson report to Ling.
