Fabric supplier DesleeClama, with U.S. headquarters in Inman, S.C., has hired Kendall Kellet and Necia Levoit, bringing its U.S. design staff to three. The two new hires join lead designer An Feys, who has been with the company for more than three years and who earlier worked for DesleeClama in Europe.
Kellet joins DesleeClama from Milliken & Co., where she spent 14 years as a senior designer responsible for trade and trend research, color development, customer presentations and collateral trade materials. Prior to that, she was a wovens designer for Burlington Industries’ mattress fabrics division.
Levoit, who has strong experience in machine- and hand-knitted fabrics, also joins DesleeClama from Milliken where she was a lead designer responsible for creating graphics for wovens, prints and knits.
Feys, Kellet and Levoit are based at DesleeClama’s new design studio at U.S. headquarters, and are responsible for textile design, working with key accounts and developing total mattress design solutions for customers.
“One of the most important roles of our design team is not just to design textiles, but to help create full cover solutions for our customers,” said Craig Dunlop, president of DesleeClama in North America. “We want to make our customers’ jobs easier. The addition of our two new designers is a further example of our commitment to put in place the necessary resources to support our growth in the North American mattress industry. The combination of An Fey’s European design experience along with our new North American designers will be a solid resource for our customers to draw from.”
