Leggett & Platt Consumer Products Group, based in Carthage, Mo., will introduce Clean Shield mattress protectors with Crypton Super Fabric at the Las Vegas Market July 29-Aug. 2. Crypton is a patented third-party fabric technology used in a range of consumer, commercial and medical applications.
According to a news release, unlike other protectors, Clean Shield with Crypton “contains no laminated vinyl backing, meaning the fabric is plastic-free, soft, quiet and highly breathable.” The protector is moisture-proof, stain-resistant and can be spot-cleaned and disinfected. In addition to being a dust mite and allergen barrier, Clean Shield protectors inhibit the spread of mold, mildew, and odor-causing bacteria.
Clean Shield protectors will retail for approximately $149 in queen and are available in all standard mattress sizes.
