American Textile Co. donation supports veterans’ group

American Textile Co., a manufacturer of mattress protection products and pillows with headquarters in Duquesne, Pennsylvania, has donated $10,000 to the Western Pennsylvania chapter of Team Red, White & Blue, a nonprofit veterans’ support group. According to the Team RWB website, http://teamrwb.org, its mission is “to enrich the lives of America’s veterans by connecting them to their community through physical and social activity.”

American Textile’s donation, the result of proceeds from sales of its Americana pillow, was made in support of a Team RWB marathon in Pittsburgh, organized by retailer Dick’s Sporting Goods. Fifty veterans and their family members participated in the event.

“Our commitment to American veterans runs deep,” said Lance Ruttenberg, American Textile president and chief executive officer. “Our former CEO and now chairman of the board Jack Ouellette is a West Point graduate and served in the U.S. Army. His service over the last few decades has helped the company grow and expand significantly.”
