Inman, South Carolina-based DesleeClama North America, part of DesleeClama Textile Group with world headquarters in Zonnebeke, Belgium, has hired two to fill new sales positions for the company. Rob Thibeault joined the company as national accounts sales manager for Canada, and Adalberto Cervantes was named territory manager for Central America and Mexico.
Previously, DesleeClama’s South American representatives serviced Central America and Mexico, said Craig Dunlop, DesleeClama NA president. “This is the first time we have a local representative, residing in Mexico, and is further evidence of our commitment to support this important region.”
Cervantes most recently was sales manager for Industrias Hermes S.A. Prior to that, he was with HSM.
“For the last number of months, I have been hearing about DesleeClama’s strong investments in resources, both in design and capacity,” said Cervantes. “I am really looking forward to help build a strong Mexican/Central American presence for DesleeClama.”
Cervantes reports to Dunlop.
Thibeault, who reports to Eric Delaby, DesleeClama vice president of sales and marketing, has more than 17 years of sales, merchandising and marketing experience in the bedding industry. Most recently, he was the senior director of merchandising for Sears Canada.
“DesleeClama is on the move and I am delighted to now be part of this growing company,” Thibeault said. “I am looking forward to utilizing my industry experience to help improve our current market position in Canada.”
Dunlop added, “Adalberto and Rob are the perfect fit for our team right now, and will add significant value to our sales organization overall. I couldn’t be happier.”
