Las Vegas Market: What's in store for us in bedding showrooms?

I’ve landed in Las Vegas (I plan on keeping my water consumption to a minimum during the market–after flying over half-empty Lake Mead. Wow, it’s bad.) and during the flights, I read through several dozen pre-market news releases from mattress and sleep accessories vendors.

Looks as though the BedTimes and Sleep Savvy editorial team will be looking at lots of pillows, peripherals and product tweaks. In mattresses and other bedding, some themes appear to be customizable product, new digital apps, temperature regulation, more mattress protection, new twists on frames and foundations, value-priced line extensions, and more value-priced line extensions.

I’m especially excited to be covering the market for the first time with BedTimes’ and Sleep Savvy’s new Associate Editor Betsi Robinson. Can’t wait to visit all the mattress and sleep products showrooms with her and get her fresh perspective on the industry. Looking forward to crafting great market coverage, both online and in print.

And here’s my No. 1 Las Vegas survival tip: Noise-canceling headphones!
