Textile supplier Culp Inc. is laying the groundwork to expand its mattress-fabric business with a $9.5 million investment in its Culp Home Fashions manufacturing facilities. The two-phase capital project includes a building expansion and the addition of new capacity for fabric finishing and production at Culp facilities in four countries.
The project will be complete by spring 2015, the High Point, North Carolina-based company said.
“Culp Home Fashions has enjoyed solid growth with record annual mattress-fabrics sales of over $160 million in fiscal 2014,” said Iv Culp, Culp Home Fashions president. “These expansion initiatives are an important investment in our future growth and reflect our unwavering commitment to meeting the demands of our customers.
