Much like this eagle with a tiny camera on its back, the editors of BedTimes and Sleep Savvy magazines will swoop into High Point Market this weekend and live stream all we see. We’re on the hunt for news and trends in mattress-industry showrooms. (And, please do watch this really cool eagle video.)
Based on the pre-show High Point Market publicity crossing our desks, we’re expecting a quiet event in terms of bedding introductions. None of the mattress majors–Tempur-Pedic, Sealy, Serta, Simmons–is launching new products or technologies at this show. However, we will report back to you on all that we do ferret out with our eagle eyes. Look for video coverage via the publications’ various online touchpoints and a full High Point Market report in our print editions.
This I do know–mattress maker Gold Bond Mattress Co. is unveiling three additional two-sided beds; premium bedding producer Shifman Mattress Co. has retooled its Masters collection; Boyd Specialty Sleep is moving into a new showroom; and new specialty-sleep mattress maker Best Rest USA is exhibiting at the Suites at Market Square. There are many, many more mattress and sleep accessories showrooms to peruse. We plan to visit as many as possible.
