Tempur-Pedic tees off with PGA for veterans

Lexington, Kentucky-based Tempur-Pedic North America LLC has teamed up with golfer Hunter Mahan for #BeyondVeteransDay—a social media campaign designed to recognize military veterans throughout the year.

The mattress brand also is sponsoring other events to benefit veterans during the PGA Tour.

The campaign encourages consumers and golf fans to share their words of support and thanks to veterans by using the hashtag #BeyondVeteransDay on Twitter. For every 100 hashtags used through Dec. 31, Tempur-Pedic will donate a mattress to a military veteran through nonprofit partners, including Darkhorse Benefits and the Milwaukee Homeless Veterans Initiative.

Mahan, a six-time winner on the PGA Tour and a 2014 Ryder Cup team member, will be an ambassador for the program.
