BrandSource members gathered at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas Aug. 28-31 for the Tustin, California-based buying group’s annual convention.
A “thank you” to membership, the show also updated attendees on the latest developments in retailing.
According to a news release, participants attended an array of educational seminars, workshops and motivational speeches by prominent figures in retailing. In addition, there were more than 200 exhibits spanning 200,000 square feet that showcased the latest appliances, bedding, electronics and home furnishings. BrandSource members also had the opportunity to mingle and network at social events.
Popular seminars included a Mattress University session conducted titled “How to Run a High Impact Promotion” by consultant Philip Gutsell. Marketer and author Nick Westergaard hosted another segment titled “Get Scrappy with Digital Marketing.”
Doug Stephens, a futurist and self-described “retail prophet,” delivered the keynote. He has 20 years of experience in retail and is author the best-selling book “The Retail Revival: Reimagining Business for the New Age of Consumerism.”
