Tempur Sealy International Inc., with headquarters in Lexington, Kentucky, donated two Tempur-Pedic mattresses to One List One Life.
One List started as a video about the bucket list of Chris Betancourt, who is battling leukemia, made by Betancourt and his best friend, Dillon Hill. It has grown into a larger cause as the two have gone on to help other young people with cancer and raise awareness about the importance of bone marrow donations.
Tempur Sealy surprised Betancourt with a new mattress, one of the items on his list, and gave away another mattress as an incentive to help him fulfill this list item: Break the World Record for Most Bone Marrow Donation Sign Ups in One Day. On March 1, with the help of the ABC show “Good Morning America,” Dr. Mehmet Oz and social influencers, the record was broken with 3,715 sign-ups. Recently, a donor match was found, and Betancourt received a life-saving bone marrow transplant.
