Spartanburg, South Carolina-based Tietex International, a producer of stitchbond fabrics, has announced a year-long commemoration to honor the company’s 50th Anniversary.
TTX is targeting ISPA EXPO, March 12–14, to unofficially launch the celebration, according to Martin Wildeman, chairman and CEO.
“ISPA is the perfect occasion for us, considering how important the mattress industry has been to our success,” Wildeman said, adding that “it’s hard to believe that over 40 years ago my father created the original filler cloth for the mattress industry.”
He noted that the upcoming EXPO in Columbus, Ohio, is an ideal backdrop to introduce a redesigned corporate identity and website, as well as a newly designed SmartCap FR barrier and a new, stylish filler cloth.
“In addition,” Wildeman said, “ISPA gives us an opportunity to introduce, in person, our all-new management team.”
David Skellie, TTX president, said the 50th anniversary will have many faces and events, including large site banners visible from major highway and city roadways in Spartanburg.
“In addition, our 50th symbol will appear on selected marketing/communication materials, including email addresses, advertising, email blasts to customers, promotional apparel and a number of specialty items,” Skellie said. “And we naturally have special events planned for employees, family and business friends to honor our past and all of the contributions that have shaped our future.”
Wildeman predicted the mattress industry is going to see a more visible Tietex in 2024 and the years ahead, not only domestically but also internationally. “We’re definitely celebrating 50 years in a business that reminds us of our many achievements,” he said, “but there’s no question we also have a new spring in our step.”
