Adjustable base supplier Ergomotion is beginning to manufacture its products with advanced electronics and motors sourced from OKIN, a Kirchlengern, Germany-based manufacturer of actuators and electronic components used in furniture.
OKIN’s manufacturing is based in China with research and development, as well as comprehensive support to manufacturers, located in Germany.
Ergomotion said that all electronics, head and foot motors, massage motors and other working parts in its product line will be transitioned to OKIN-branded components in the coming months, with distribution to select retailers beginning this fall.
The new components feature several enhancements, including reduced power consumption, redesigned remote controls and smartphone compatibility.
“This partnership was a vital step for Ergomotion,” said Leo Vera, chief operating officer of Santa Barbara, Calif.-based company. “Our clients have taught us that in order to be the No. 1 adjustable base provider in the marketplace, it is imperative that we remain at the leading edge of not only design and quality, but the technology platform offered to our customers. We are excited to be working with OKIN and have confidence that our next generation of products to be released this fall will set a new standard for quality and value for our customers.”
