Portland-based retailer BedMart Mattress Superstores partnered with specialty bedding manufacturer Tempur-Pedic, with headquarters in Lexington, Ky., to donate 146 new Tempur-Pedic bed sets to area women’s shelters.

BedMart also supplied mattress protectors for each bed in conjunction with protection supplier GBS.

The companies teamed with the nonprofit Community Warehouse to deliver new beds to Casa Hogar, Bradley-Angle House and West Women’s & Children’s Shelter in the Portland area.

“The entire BedMart family is proud to provide victims of domestic violence a more comfortable, safe place,” said Steven Stone, BedMart president and chief executive officer. “Our family has always received such strong support from the community; we are happy to be able to reciprocate and assist in any way we can. We are truly appreciative of Tempur-Pedic for their generous support.”
