Latex International, with headquarters in Shelton, Conn., has announced that Chris Bunce has rejoined the company in the new position director of sales for pillow programs.
He is responsible for overseeing sales of the company’s growing pillow portfolio, which currently includes the Pure LatexBLISS and Rejuvenite brands, as well private label products.
Bunce has more than 16 years in sleep products sales. Most recently, he was president of Retail Solutions Associates, a retail training and consulting company. Prior to that, he held a sales management role at Latex International and oversaw the launch of its Rejuvenite line. He began his mattress industry career as a key account manager at Simmons.
“We’re excited to have Chris back on our team,” said Jim Siragusa, Latex International vice president of U.S. sales and managing director of global operations. “He will take our classic Talalay latex pillows along with our latest gel pillow innovations to all levels of retailers, from the majors to regional retailers and one-store shops. With the opportunity to increase sales tickets and gross margin dollars, pillows have become an increasingly important category for retailers in the last five years. Our goal is simple, we want to help retailers implement a sales training process that leads to the sale of two pillows with every mattress.”
