Machinery supplier MPT Group unveiled the SwiftWrap mattress wrapping system at the National Bed Federation’s annual Bed Show Sept. 25-26 in Telford, England.
SwiftWrap can wrap as many as three mattresses per minute and works as a stand-alone machine or part of a modular conveyor system, the Bacup, England-based company said. The unit also features automatic product sizing, temperature-controlled sealing, waste collection and a side compression system that ensures mattresses are tightly wrapped using less plastic film, with reduced risk of bag tearing during handling.
MPT Group Managing Director Andrew Trickett said he “anticipates that the fully-automated SwiftWrap will be a big hit with our customers.”
“Its impressive speeds mean that it can meet the needs of even the most demanding mattress producers,” he said.
