Machinery supplier MPT Group Ltd. has introduced the Matramatic I-Quilt multineedle chain-stitch quilter.
Key benefits of the machine include ease of use, versatility and cutting-edge software, the Bacup, England-based company said.
The I-Quilt sews mattress panels, as well as upholstery, bedspreads and comforters. It comes with the company’s proprietary I-Design software package that enables mattress producers to create bespoke designs for continuous quilting and tack-and-jump designs. The software has more than 180 preinstalled designs.
Other features include automatic thread-break detection, 1-inch needle spacing and a quilting thickness of as much as 3.15 inches. MPT Group makes more than 30 machines for mattress production.
