Mattress licensing group Therapedic International has signed an exclusive licensing arrangement in Israel with mattress maker Polyron. The company, a bed producer based in the ancient coastal city of Ashkelon in Israel, will begin manufacturing Therapedic-branded products—both foam and innerspring models—this month at its new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. Polyron has 80 employees and supplies more than 100 independent dealers in Israel.

“Israelis have always held U.S. brands in high regard, so we see a tremendous opportunity for our company in the market,” said Gerry Borreggine, Therapedic president and chief executive officer. “Polyron is a great partner for us because they are very similar in their product and customer base to many of our licensees around the world.”

Dan Marcipar, Polyron chief executive officer, said, “My management team was very impressed with the innovation, design and construction of Therapedic’s products, and the marketing/merchandising support they give the brand. We very much wanted to broaden our product mix and introduce a U.S. brand to our customers. We could not have found a better partner than Therapedic.”
